 Follow the instructions given at the above website in order to install Java. You only have to download it and install it once, and then you can run any program written in Java.

In order to run OSRE3, after you install Java, just double-click on OSRE3.jar to run the program.

This text file presents results of a study documented in Porter, K.A., in press, Cracking an open safe: more HAZUS vulnerabi lity functions in terms of structure-independent intensity, Submitted to Earthquake Spectra 2 Jan 2008.

The vulnerability functions presented herein are copyrighted 2008 by Keith Porter and may not be used for commercial purpose s without the author's prior written consent. They may be used for educational and academic research purposes, so long as th ey are properly acknowledged using the foregoing citation.

The user is advised that these results have not yet been peer reviewed, and no warrantee is made as to their accuracy or app ropriateness to any particular use. The user is encouraged to check www.risk-agora.org for an updated database or confirmation that the original data have been peer reviewed, some time after 30 Jun 2008.

The Microsoft .NET Framework is responsible for running programs developed in .NET. If you are running Windows XP SP2, the Microsoft.NET Framework was most probably installed along with SP2. To check if it is already installed on your system, go to “Control Panel \ Add & Remove Programs” and see if it's listed there. If it is not, click the link below to download it from Microsoft (FREE),

 

and follow the instructions given there. You only have to download it and install it once, and then you can run any program written in VB.NET.

In order to run OSRE2 unzip the contents of the zip file somewhere on your hard drive and double-click on OSRE2.exe to run the program.
